Xi'an Mechanical & Electric Institute (shorted as XMEI below) established in 1987 and is a High-Tech enterprise to undertaking the researching, designing and manufacturing of induction heating/melting equipment as well as other auxiliary device equipped with induction furnace.

XMEI locates in Xi'an High-Tech Development Area. The annual productive capacity is over 40000 kW for varied sizes of Induction heating/melting furnaces. Up to now, the biggest iron induction holding furnace with 45 t/2000 kW and the biggest copper induction melting furnace with 30 t/3000 kW in China are manufactured by XMEI, both furnaces are running normal recently. Now, XMEI possesses the capability to produce the furnace with 50 t of volume and the power supply with 6600 kW. Since 1999, XMEI have developed the VF induction furnace with power sharing system and now almost 1/3 of marketing share in China is possessed. This advanced product is also exported to Europe.

XMEI developed the first set of computerized melting/heating managing system in China on 1999 and now more than 20 sets of mentioned system are running in foundries of China. By means of the mentioned system the melting/heating process can be controlled automatically and all running data can be recorded for filing.

XMEI established a service team with more than 30 professional persons to undertaking the service of installation and starting-running as well as maintenance on sites.

XMEI was awarded the prize "Certificate of Hi-Tech Enterprise" issued by Xi'an authority in 1992, was awarded the "ISO 9001 Certificate of quality system Certification" in 2000, XMEI also was awarded the "CE marking certificate" in 2003.

XMEI is a piloting enterprise to developing advancing technology in the field of induction furnaces in China. XMEI's products now covered in all country and also exported to Europe, CIS countries, West Asia and South-east Asia.
